Our Trade-In Policy:

At Branch Books & Branch Books 2, we love giving books a second life!

Bring in your gently used books and trade them for store credit to use on your next purchase. Here’s how our trade-in process works:

What We Accept:

Gently used books in good condition (no rips, stains, or excessive wear)
Fiction & nonfiction across all genres
Children’s books, young adult, classics, and more
Recent bestsellers and popular titles

What We Can’t Accept:

Moldy, mildewed, or water-damaged books
Books with a strong smoke or pet odor
Books that are mouse-eaten, chewed, or otherwise damaged
Books we already have multiple copies of in stock

How Store Credit Works:

Store credit is based on the condition, popularity, and demand for the books you bring in.
Store credit has no cash value and cannot be exchanged for cash.
Store credit can only be used on used books (not new books or special orders).
When using store credit, it covers up to 50% of each used book’s price—this helps us keep our bookstore sustainable while still offering great savings!
Store credit is valid as long as Branch Books remains in operation—so be sure to use it and enjoy your next great read!

How to Trade In Your Books:

1️. Bring your books to either Branch Books (Hartselle) or Branch Books 2 (Cullman).
2️. Our staff will review them and determine which books we can accept.
3️. We’ll add your store credit to your account, ready to use on your next visit!

Have questions? Feel free to ask in-store or give us a call! We’re always happy to help.

Thank you for helping us keep books in circulation and supporting your local bookstore!
